Course description

This course examines the environmental impacts of hydroelectric energy, including the effects of dam construction on river ecosystems, fish populations, and local communities. Students will learn about the various approaches to mitigating the environmental impacts of hydroelectric power, including the use of fish ladders, downstream releases, and river restoration programs.
