This course will examine the role of wind energy in the broader context of the energy transition toward a more sustainable and decarbonized energy system. Students would learn about the different drivers of the energy transition, including climate change, energy security, and technological innovation. The course will cover the different pathways for the energy transition, as well as the different energy sources and technologies that could replace fossil fuels. Students will also learn about the different policy and regulatory frameworks that are being developed to support the energy transition, as well as the social and environmental implications of the energy transition.
