Course description

This course would examine the relationship between agricultural policy and community development in Canada. Students would learn about the impact of agricultural policy on rural communities, such as access to food, economic development, and social equity. The course would also explore the role of community-based agriculture initiatives, such as farmers' markets, community-supported agriculture, and urban agriculture, in promoting sustainable agriculture and strengthening rural communities in Canada.
